The Clearlake Police Department Records Bureau is responsible for processing, reviewing, copying, and maintaining the majority of the police records. The Records Bureau is also responsible for submitting monthly statistics to the Attorney General and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
You may submit a request for copies of department records by completing a records request form (under records forms on right side of the page) and submitting it by mail, fax, or in person at the police department.
Copies of police reports are $10 each and must be in the form of cash and exact change or credit card. We are unable to accept personal checks at this time.
If you need a Citizen Clearance Letter for HUD Housing or Visa applications, print out and complete the Clearance Letter Request form (right hand column) and submit it with $10 cash exact change to the police department. You must show proof of identification when submitting the request and when picking the completed request up.
