RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
Clearlake residents who subscribe to curbside collection service are provided with:
- A grey cart for trash - 20, 32, 64 or 96 gallon cart
- A blue cart for mixed recyclables – 96 gallon cart
- A green cart for yard waste – 96 gallon cart
Recycling and yard waste collection is included in the rate. Place carts at the curb or road edge the night before your
pick-up day. All material must fit inside the cart and the lid must close. There should be at least three (3) feet of
clearance between each cart and 14 feet of overhead clearance. Keep carts away from all obstacles such as cars and mailboxes and away from overhead obstacles such as carport overhangs and tree branches.
Pre-paid Garbage Bags
Residents can also purchase pre-paid bags for garbage and put these bags out on the appropriate collection day.
These bags are ideal for vacation homes and people that do not generate enough garbage to require regular weekly service. Bags can be purchased at the City of Clearlake offices located at 14050 Olympic Drive, Clearlake, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
COMMERCIAL AND MULTI-FAMILY SERVICES
Businesses and multi-family residential complexes that subscribe to curbside services are provided with carts or bins selected specifically for the site and may be collected weekly or multiple times each week. Recycling collection is included in the rate.
Waste assessments are provided at no charge to commercial and multi-family residential subscribers. A representative from Clearlake Waste Solutions will visit your site to assess your waste stream and determine whether more material
can be recycled, which could result in a reduction in your trash bill. Call 1.888.718.4888 to make arrangements for a free waste assessment.
* State recycling regulations require that all businesses generating at least four (4) cubic yards of garbage per week and all multi-family complexes with 5 or more units MUST recycle. This new requirement becomes
effective July 1, 2012. Call 1.888.718.4888 to order a recycling container or for more information about how the new regulations may affect you.
